Could you please cross-post this interesting query that was submitted to
H-West (American West)? I have already x-posted to H-Local, but many
listmembers suggested Museum-L would have more interesting and
enlightened responses. :-)

And on a personal note, I volunteer at the Harvey House Museum in Belen
