Hi Everyone -
For your info, I just activated a tpc cell covering all of Houston and
surrounding area for e-mail to fax. If you do a lot of faxing to Houston,
or anywhere for that matter, you can save a lot of communications funds by
taking advantage of this free service.
The system is basically a remote printer, which receives properly formatted
e-mail and automatically sends the fax to the recipient.
I urge you to try it out to your satisfaction. You can send free faxes to
many locations in the US and internationally - all from your e-mail. And it
is absolutely free.
Formatting is important. Let's say you want to send a fax to the
exploration dept. at Apache in Houston. You compose an e-mail message.
Let's say you want to send it to Mr. Tom Jones at fax number 713-296-6450.
Here is how you address the email:
[log in to unmask]
9.2.3.1.7.1.tpc.int
note that there are no special characters allowed in the left side of the @.
The "/" forces a line break. Only one "." is allowed in this convention.
That's all there is to it! There is no charge and your fax is delivered
almost immediately. You receive an e-mail notification of delivery.
There is a large area of the world similarly covered. For coverage info,
and more info on the tpc remote printer project, see
http://www-usa.tpc.int/fax_cover_auto.html. If you want further info about
Texas coverage, email [log in to unmask](that's me).
If you like the service, and I am certain you will, please pass the word!
Hope all is well with you and yours. -
Paul Kronfield
