The Summer issue of OCTOBER (77) has a piece by W.J.T. Mitchell on Aby
Warburg and the origins of his library as a model of the cosmos not
unlike the Hopi altars he saw on a trip to the U.S.

The issue is dedicated to the question of "visual culture" and I found
it quite interesting even though I still don't understand Jacques Lacan.

Then, of course, there's Borges...
