The Missouri Historical Society is seeking a temporary associate curator
of Native American ethnology, for a period of up to two years. Primary
responsibilities include managing and maintaining a collection of
approximately 20,000 Native American archaeological and ethnographic
objects. M.A. in anthropology, understanding of method and theory in
anthropology and archeology, and strong research and communication skills
required, including computer competence. Experience in museum methods
preferred. The occupant of this position will communicate with the
permanent curator, who will be on temporary leave, to support
