I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books, or internet
     references (Museum collections or catalogues on-line), etc. which deal
     with the identification and naming of

     1.  Trade and Proficiency Badges worn by the Merchant Navy and Navy.
     2.  War Ribbons worn by the Navy.
     3.  Uniform distinction lace worn by Merchant Navy.


     For example, the `Naval Ratings Handbook', Naval Training Department,
     Admiralty, SW1, 1938 does not cover all the badges to be registered,
     ie.  MT in a circle.


     Any assistance would be appreciated.
