Position Available -- Collections Access Assistant
The Museum of the City of New York seeks a highly-motivated individual
to provide public access and research assistance in its Department of
Collections Access. Collections Access Assistant will develop a
proficient knowledge of the Museum s extensive collection of visual
and textual documentation of the City, and will provide support for
on-site and remote researchers. The ideal candidate will be a student
of history, architectural history, American or urban studies, or a
related subject area, with an interest in working part-time,
year-round. A general knowledge of New York City history is
desirable, and an active interest in the City s past is an essential
and integral part of this position.
This is a part-time position (2-3 days/week) with a starting hourly
rate of $10/hr. The Museum of the City of New York is an equal
