Stephanie,
I don't know about all kinds of reproductions but I DO know
that reproductions that are framed and sold as pieces of
art (e.g. pages out of the Bev Doolittle books known as
"book prints") are considered a copyright infringement by
the publisher.
Why would someone pay anywhere from $300 to $8,000 for a Bev
Doolittle print when they can have a similar (although not
limited edition) image on their wall for $150?
However, it IS ok if an individual buys his or her own book,
and takes a page into a frame shop and asks it to be framed.
Then, at least the individual knows where the print came
from and its actual worth.
