When ever I work on a show, I try to get the word out to the
    particular artists I am trying to reach:  artist journals and
    newspapers, local gallery and college bulletin boards, and the
    local newspaper are some good places.  Also, if there are coffee
    shops and book stores that cater to artists, placing an
    announcement there is also a good start.
