Regarding the Grantsmanship Center, I took that course about ten years ago
and found it fairly helpful, although the focus is (or was then) primarily on
social service agencies, so the subject matter of the case studies is rather
far afield. As I recall, I was the only art museum person in my group of
around 25. It is an intense workshop, but they've honed the lessons over a
long time and are full of good, practical tips. Probably worth the price;
certainly more than some of the other fund raising schools I've seen, or the
short seminars that are often offered by local Foundation Centers or others.
