Chuck Cecil asks:
>>>Does anyone know if it is possible to digitize lantern slides?

Oh, you mean the vast array of high quality images sitting in art
slide libraries, archives and museums everywhere? They are sandwiched
between glass and taped, but this can be overcome. While Lantern
Slides have been the bane of collection managers everywhere, there
redemption will arrive with the digital age, without doubt.

With the rather large image size (implying quality), I believe that
these will be a cornucopia of digital image databases. Don't tell
Bill Gates or he will try to buy them all and/or trademark the term
"Lantern Slide" so that you will be in violation if you speak the
term to fellow professionals...
