Kathryn,
No problem at all - the message you are referring to was aimed at KathrInE
L. Walker ([log in to unmask]), and I was talking about a session on
Measuring Quality and Mission Fulfilliment at the recent Museum Management
Program at the University of Colorado.
>most museums in SA haven't heard of evaluation-of any kind.
To put it realistically: the problem with evaluation of MUSEUMS' performance
is that, at least in my country, museum people prefer to ignore it's
existence because it could disturb their halos. Visitor evaluation, on the
other hand, is often still understood as evaluation of visitors'
PERFORMANCE, which is pointless because people don't visit museums in order
to pass exams.
I hope you can use the references I sent.
(What bothers me a little is that you could not get through to my address).
Greetings,
Fritz
