I am asking this question for a collegue who is not on-line. If you
could answer to the list or to me directly, I would appreciate it:
The Billings Farm and Museum in Vermont renovated an 1890 farmhouse in
1988-89. At that time, they acquired Tatami (sea-grass) carpeting which
was used in a bedroom to represent summertime flooring.
They originally purchased the Tatami carpeting (in roll form) from Ernest
Treganowan, carpet dealer in New York. He still carries Tatami, but it
now has a decorative pattern in it which is inappropriate for the
Billings Museum.
Does anyone have a source for Tatami carpeting in roll-form (not small,
mat-form)?
Thanks in advance,
