We never accession, usually photocopy and toss the original (bad
paper, often cut out strangely), and file by subject in subject vertical
files.  Works for us.  We finally built a people file for those obits.
     Unless the donation is considerable or comes in in the mail, I don't
even do paperwork - just effusively say thanks to the donor standing here
- unless there's some other reason to.
