It seems to me that a scholar, in hot pursuit of data, presented a thesis;
in our collective wisdom we have responded with personal interpretations
of that thesis to a point which resembles nothing so much as sophomoric
debate.
While I, also, look forward to the results of this research, it will
remain a matter of no consequence to me until the data are resolved to a
conclusion. Then, and only then, will I decide to agree or disagree; to
do otherwise is to denigrate the research and the researcher.
