Had a moth infestation in a wool oriental rug. Rolled up rug and wrapped
it in plastic; sealed with duct tape (what else?) Put outside (on roof
protected front porch on shady side of house) during well below freezing
period in mid-winter. Left it there for several weeks. No more moths.
Not applicable to most museum objects, I admit, but at least I can testify
that freezing kills wool moths.
