Richard et al,
This doesn't answer the question straight on but...
You might want to take a look at the newest issue of NewMedia (Oct95),
p.74. It's about Internet accessible stock media vs. purchased CDs.
Web sites listed: (I have _not_ checked these out)
Corbis Media AOL keyword: Corbis
Footage.net http://www.footage.net film/video
PhotoDisc http://www.photodisc.com
DataLab http://www.datalabs.com
My soapbox:
At some point soon, I believe, we may have to form some sort of
cooperative digital warehouse of museum images. Publishers like one stop
shopping. It's not nearly as messy as dealing with each of us individually.
In the commerical arena, remember we are competing with Corbis who currently
has digital rights to 300,000 museum images. Check
out their pricing structure to see what their going rate may be.
Corbis has a sampling of 3,000 images on AOL.
Would love to hear the outcome of your search.
Joanne Ikemoto-Olson
