Oversee store operations at Coyote Point Museum as well as graduate
student in museum studies, current project is investigation of product
development for store and writing masters thesis on Product Development
in Museum Stores. Looking for museums who are currently involved in
product development and licensing.
Hit a wall, as far as available information, need actual documentation
-- real life working documents. Will do whatever necessary in regards
to confidentiality, i.e. omit names of organizations and confidential
items etc. Need real examples that work in the real world. Looking
for the following items:
Samples of written product development guidelines/policies.
Licensing agreements (can be without name of company, % profit, etc.
Looking more for wording, items to include - not analyzing royalties or
profit.
Does museum have a product development committee, does it have by-laws.
Other helpful documentation, as well as helpful advice that you have
discovered while working on product development.
Also has the museum done marketing surveys on the store or included the
store in other marketing surveys? Can I see survey and results?
