The Bicentennial influence was marked by the participation of many
patriotic organizations including the Daughters of the Amewrican
Revolution. You can contact them at their National Headquarters at 1776 D
Street Washington, D.C. Address the letter to Mrs.  Charles Kemper,
President.  There was the Bicential Commission of the US which presided
over all the functions and activities surrounding the celebration which
concluded in Philadelphia.Each city in the US as well as schools haad
committess and  activities. Painting all the fire hydrants in red, white
, and blue was just one.
