Dear Fellow Chicagoland Colleagues,
I would like to inform all interested parties of the next general
meeting of the Ridge
Historical Society on Sunday December 3rd at 2:30. The guest speaker will
be Homer
Grant Sailor, Jr., son of Homer Grant Sailor Senior. Homer Senior was a
Beverly resident,
architect and politician, who designed more than 70 buildings in the
Chicago area. On
graduation from the old Armour Institute he was hired as a draftsman by
Louis Sullivan. On
display will be paintings & drawings of Sailor-designed homes. Our
meetings are free and
if you would like more information please call (312) 881-1675 or leave me
a email. Thank
you for your time.
(The Ridge Historical Society covers the history of the Beverly Hills and
Morgan Park
area, which was the birthplace of the second University of Chicago.)
Sincerely yours,
Michael M. Stachnik
