For us fortunate few who use Standard (or Tailored) COLLECTION,
Nomenclature is built in and works like all Vernon Systems other
hierarchical authorities. AAT can be incorporated, if so desired. One of
my favorite features of Collection is that Nomenclature is used in the
manner it was designed...as a standardized terminology for naming objects...
not as an organizational tool for arranging cataloguing information. There
are also fields for "other" names of objects, allowing us to preserve the
donor's term for an object as well as trade names, alternate names, titles,
etc.
