Hello All,

I am a graduate student in Museology and later this quarter I will be
doing a presentation later this quarter on some aspects of
'context' and museum exhibits. I am looking for information from anyone
on the list that has produced or seen any exhibit that have warped context
from the traditional way that we have tended to exhibit. An example: placing
contemporary art of Native Americans alongside contemporary art of
EuroAmericans, using time period at the unifying theme.

I am also very interested in anyone that might want to have an off-list
discussion of the inherent power that the producer of the exhibit has
when she makes the decision of how she wants to classify objects.

thanks to all in advance,

Susan Hayes
