Hello. I am a graduate student in the Museum Exhibition
Planning and Design Program at the University of the Arts
in Philadelphia. I am completing the program with a thesis
proposing the plan and design of introductory exhibits--
exhibitions which inform the visitor about the museum they
are visiting and/or the collection. Such an exhibit would
lend itself nicely to larger institutions.
If anyone has experienced one as a visitor or has worked on
creating one I would appreciate any insights. Currently I
am focussing on an art museum setting and working to design
the introduction to provide a connection with the visitors'
daily experience and the collection (often seen as having
"nothing to do with my life")
Thanks.
