Christopher-there was a good article in CURATOR recently entitled
"Wanted:  An Effective Director."  38 (3), 171-184.  The AYM publication
HAND-TO-HAND most recent issue focused on museum professional development
and the three museum leadership training programs, at Bank Street, MMI in
Berkeley and MMP in Boulder.  There are also several new books out of
museum careers and training.  Hope this helps.
