I have had a request from a nearby Tribal Museum for names of
appraisers who are familiar with ethnographic collections. The tribe
is mainly interested in the appraisal for insurance purposes and
probably does not have a lot of funds available for an appraisal.

Initially, they asked us (Idaho Museum of Natural History) to appraise the colle
ctions but we
explained that the museum cannot provide such a service. Since I
am new to Idaho and a new registrar, any advice or names would be
appreciated. I'm interested in any experiences with appraisers as
well.

Thanks.
