As a neophyte webbie, like a child gazing in the candystore window, I
appreciated the thread on authoring programs, printed most of them,
and will follow up as I get a chance.  All of which would have been
lost to me if the responses to Eric went only privately.  There's a
time for private responses (when "eldering," for example); this
wasn't one of them.
