Bucks County Museum repackaged its dolls about 3 years ago. We used
boxes, nesting the dolls, one layer per box, in neutral-ph tissue paper.
The dolls were largely stored with their clothing on, except where
special support was needed. Each item of clothing was individually
numbered (using the same number-on-linen-tape technique which we use
for regular clothing). We also worried about wax dolls, and wrote on
the outside of the box: WAX doll: protect from HEAT.
