Dear MUSEUM-L subscribers:

1. I would really love to hear from any and all museums to find out what
department oversees your web site. Although several departments are involved
at the IMA, everything (currently) passes through marketing/communications
here. Do other museums have MIS departments in charge--education,
registration, curatorial, libraries?

2. The Indianapolis Museum of Art is currently in long-range planning, and
we are looking for benchmarking partners for study of on-line services. I'm
interested in museum and non-museum (including commercial) web sites that
offer any of the following: interactive educational programs online, online
shopping, file transfer of educational or scholarly documents. Your votes
for great web sites will be appreciated (they can be considered great for
reasons other than those listed above). I know that questions like this have
been discussed quite a bit on the list, and I didn't save them. Sorry.

I will be glad to post or send you results from Question 1.

Many thanks,

Anne Robinson, Public Relations
