Greetings !
The Museum Computer Network is seeking information to update its timeline
of museum automation projects and other related initiatives.
Please send me the year the project was launched and one line with the
title of the project. This may include projects focused on standards in
data models, data interchange (CIMI is already noted), pioneering
projects in imaging and computerization as well as current. Information
on projects launched in the last five years will be especially helpful as
will information on projects outside of the U.S.
A sample of the timeline follows:
1980-MCN sponsors North American Planning Conference on use of
microcomputer in museums
1981-CHIN formed form national Inventory Programme
1981-IBM PC introduced
1981-MILAM Collections Management Relational System developed
1981-Clearinghouse on Art Documentation & Computerization project begins

Thank you for your assistance.
