Our adjunct organization, Photo Venture, annually sponsors a national juried
competition entitled "Creative Images."  They use a nationally known
photographer, professor of photography, or curator/director of a
photographic museum or collection as juror.  This year they went to a
pre-jury by slides and apparently the number of entries decreased--they are
panicking although I had warned them that this is to be expected when you
make a major procedural change.  It's a decent show but they tend to allow
the juror to accept too many pieces for the designated space:  I am working
with them on this.
