Hello all. I am in the process of monitoring a storage space to determine
whether it is suitable to use for long term storage of large skeletal bones.
The relative humidity levels within the space are going to be the determining
factor as to whether or not the space is suitable. The RH levels so farhave
been high throughout the rainy season, which is long here in the Pacific NW.
However, I am lacking in published references that discuss proper
environmental standards for preserving skeletal bones.
Can anyone forward any specific references that discuss the effects of high
and low humidity on bone?
Has anyone has any experiences, good OR bad, they would like to share with
regards to storage of large skeletons?
All help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
