I never said my ideas were popular. I know we don't live in an ideal
world either. Many in the university do consider us a frill. However, we
serve the mission of the university in an area that few other parts of the
university do; community outreach. We serve about 85,000 visitors a
year. The majority of that number are not part of any school based
program. It is mostly general public. (Unfortunately, a large part IS from
laser show. Eeek!)
