SOUTHERN OREGON HISTORICAL SOCIETY - Position Opening

CURATOR OF EDUCATION.  Full-time position for experienced
education professional to administer the Society's education
department.  This department head level position is a member
of the museum program and exhibit planning teams.  The position
will supervise and train a staff team of four full-time and six
part-time staff and fifty + volunteers in reception duties and
program development and presentation -- including the
multigenerational living history programs.

Minimum of bachelor's degree in education, American studies,
history, or closely related field is required; master's degree
and teacher certification qualifications preferred.  The
position also requires a minimum of three years' related,
professional public education and/or museum education
experience; prior supervisory experience; demonstrable written
and oral communication, and research skills.  Experience
producing newsletters and creating video presentations a plus.

Salary range:  $24,668 to $28,658 per year.
