Paintings Conservator, grade 1/2
Glasgow Museums are looking for an experienced easel paintings
conservator to work on a varied collection which ranges from 14th
century to the present day.
Applicants must have a recognised conservation qualification and at
least 5 years post training experience, preferably in a museum/art
gallery context.
The applicant will need to be able to work under pressure and have
excellent organisational and planning abilities. He/she will need to
be self-motivating and able to work independently as well as part of
a team.
An interest in 20th century materials and techniques would be an
advantage but it is expected that the successful applicant will work
on the whole collection.
