Paintings Conservator, grade 1/2

Glasgow Museums are looking for an experienced easel paintings
conservator to work on a varied collection which ranges from 14th
century to the present day.
Applicants must have a recognised conservation qualification and at
least 5 years post training experience, preferably in a museum/art
gallery context.
The applicant will need to be able to work under pressure and have
excellent organisational and planning abilities. He/she will need to
be self-motivating and able to work independently as well as part of
a team.
An interest in 20th century materials and techniques would be an
advantage but it is expected that the successful applicant will work
on the whole collection.
Closing date 10 November 1995
For an application form telephone the Personnel Department, Glasgow
City Council, Glasgow, Scotland, on 0141-227-5657, quoting reference
