The City of Fort Myers Historical Division has an immediate opening for an
Administrative Assistant "A" .  This is a senior level position in the
clerical category.  The successful candidate will work directly for the
Division Director, who is a senior city administrator reporting directly
to the Mayor.  The Division includes the Edison & Ford Winter Estates
[Museum and Historic Site], the Burroughs Home [National Historic
Landmark], and Fort Myers Historical Musuem.

The Historical Division Administrative Assistant will assist the Division
Director in the day to day operation of the Division, with a concentration
in the support of the coordination of three advisory boards and two
supporting not-for-profit corporations .  Membership coordination will be
an important part of the duties.

The basic requirements for the position include successful completion of
the basic core requirements for adminstrative support personnel working in
the City government required by Human resources.

Professional requirements include a four year degree in liberal arts or
buisness with cources in marketing, political science, or othe cources
with direct development application.   Three years plus experience in
managing a membership and/or other local cultural agency development
activities.   references wil be required.
