Conservation Technician, grade TD2/3

Glasgow Museums are looking for a Conservation Technician to join the
Paintings and Paper conservation group. The fine art collections of
paintings and works on paper range from the 14th century to the
present day.
The applicant should have a proven interest in fine art and several
years practical experience in a closely related field. The post will
require excellent manual dexterity, including object handling skills
and ideally the applicant will have basic joinery skills. Although
desirable, formal qualifications are not essential.
The applicant will join a team of conservators and technicians and
will have the opportunity to develop skills whilst in post, through
interaction with colleagues and other training programmes.
Closing date 10 November 1995
