Oh, I'd contact the Costume Society of America if I were you.
There is a phenomenal amount of information available in your public library.
Besides you are at a UNIVERSITY, try the library there. Dover publishes many,
many books on the topic and you can buy them at many, many bookstores...you can
also mail order them.
