Dear Readers:

Mr. Alan West has brought forward an interesting query as to whether there are
museums that are charging for the "identification of objects and artefacts
brought into the museum by members of the public".

This question once again prompts me to ask for information on what activities
various museums are charging for - both internally and externally. This issue
is becoming increasingly more important and is one I think we should start
discussing in a very serious, realistic and professional manner.
