I just received an annoying private eMail message.  One that was critical
because I had answered Eric (subject: Web Authoring Software inquiry) on
the list rather than by way of private eMail.

I appreciate it when answers to questions and discussion of topics
originating on the list are posted to the list.  If I find the thread
interesting, I follow it.  If not, I delete the whole thread, unread.

I realize that answering posts on the list uses up bandwidth, and increases
the number of messages received, but isn't this what the list is for?
