Don't miss the RE POSITIONING MUSEUMS Forum at the Waikato Museum of Art and
History, Hamilton, New Zealand.
November 1st and 2nd 1995.

The Marketing Forum is a partnership between the New Zealand National
Committee of ICOM, the Museum Directors Federation of New Zealand and the
Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongawera.

The programme includes international and national specialists in the areas of
market reserach, strategic planning, public relations and communications,
strategy and project implementation and evaluation.
The programme has been structured around a series of specialist presentations
and subsequent questions and discussion.Opportunities for informal dialogue
and exchnage have been allowed for within the programme in the form of breaks
and social functions.

Guest speakers include:
Barbara Hope -Head of Education, Public Programmes and Marketing at the
National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside, U.K.
Dr Dieter Pesch - Director of the Reinisches Freilichtmuseum, Germany ( one of
Europe's largest open air museums )
Helen Murphy - Assistant Director and Head of Marketing and Communications at
the National Callery of Canada
Rowena Bennett - Director of the Maori Tourism Federation
Craig Pollock - Diretor of Marketing and Development at the Museum of New
Zealand Te Papa Tongawera
and sveral more excellent presenters from Museums and the private sector.
