Mr. Fenton,

My name is Tim Weaver and I am writing to you from the Shasta Natural
Science Association in Redding, California. We have recently begun a
collaborative project with the public television station and a local
elementary school. The partnership will utilize it's electronic connection
to enhance the "Study Ponds on School Grounds" curriculum, as written by our
institution. The goal is for students to utilize this medium to better
communicate with other students about the conditions at their ponds. We
will look at schools which have the pond curriculum but no Internet
connection, to try and determine the value of this medium. Our project
actually starts in September, 1995 and runs for 1 year.

We are also working on a project which teams the local police department,
at-risk youth, and two museums in a "get involved in your community"
alternative. The electronic component of this project is significant and
has been especially well-received.

You can call (916 243-8546), write (1135 Pine St., Suite 110, Redding, CA,
96001), or e-mail if you want further information.

Best regards,

Tim Weaver, Director ERC
