We follow the same process, (laserprint, mount, cut etc.) but we use this
material called Hold-It to mount the labels to the wall. It's kind of a
white putty like substance that has a tackiness and is workable with your
fingers. We usually use four little dots per label to affix them to the wall.
We have actually used it for 16x20 card/text panels however, there was one
instance where they slipped off the wall over a 3 month exhibit showing.
We have no problem with the standard 3x5 labels we use sticking for the
duration of our shows. The nice thing is that it maintains its
malleability so when the labels are removed, the Hold-It can be peeled
off the wall and then the wall cleaned with a solvent if necessary to
restore it to like new condition with no trace of the label having been
installed. (Now if there was only something like this for hanging art)
