I'm working on an interpretation plan for a big, spread-out historic site
(Port Arthur to you who know Australian sites). It's an early 19thC penal
station with prison, industrial, official and domestic buildings all over
the place with lots of open space inbetween.
There is a fair call from visitors for site transport, and as one with
arthriticky knees herself, I sympathise. But what? How? With what impact
on the site?
Can anyone recommend a modest, cheap, efficient people-moving system
without cutesy gimmicks?
NO horsedrawn carts; NO convict-pushed railway; NO golf buggies....
Help much appreciated!
