Rachel: How do you envision the Siem-L list being different from
Museum-L. As has been discussed on this list before,
there are those who prefer a narrower focus, but I certainly
appreciate the general-interest nature of Museum-L, as I am all
for cross-pollination. Usually listserv's have some clear
mission statement. What is the mission of siem-l?
This is of more than casual interest, as I have come to rely on
Museum-l as a community of museum people: registrars, curators,
administrators, PR/Development-types, exhibit designers, and on
and on. I would encourage a serious consideration of the
advantages and disadvantages of creating a separate list which is
effectively a subset of an existing list.
