Position opening immediately: Site Manager for the 1840 House of the Baltimore
City Life Museums. Ideal candidates will have:

        *Ability to do both 1st and 3rd person interpretation
        *Supervisory experience
        *Knowledge of antebellum America
        *Some theatrical experience

ONE YEAR APPOINTMENT. Salary low 20's, benefits. EOE.
The 1840 House, now in its 10th year, has a wide variety of living history
programs ranging from museum theatre, to hands-on tours, to dinners. The site
is furnished with reproductions and therefore has no barriers to the public;
it is completely hands-on.

The Baltimore City Life Museums will add a new 30,000 sf museum to its existing
eight sites in April 1996. The new museum will incorporate living history and
performance into five environmental areas in its core exhibit on Baltimore
history -- "I Am the City." This is a wonderful opportunity for the right
candidate to become involved in a wide range of living history activities.

Send resumes to Dale Jones, Director of Interpretation, Baltimore City Life
Museums, 800 East Lombard Street, Baltimore MD 21202. Call 410-396-9911 for
information.
