I've noticed that the threads have disappeared on the subject of the
Smithsonian and the "Last Act." I am curious about the outcome of the
meeting on Monday there. The only news article I've seen here in
Edmonton is a small one in the Journal noting that the exhibit has been
"sharply curtailed." Would anyone mind letting me know (privately if
need be) about this? I attend a seminar about Museum exhibition here at
the University of Alberta, and my classmates and I have had many lively
discussions about
this exhibition, the issue of voice and authority, and the "ownership" of
history. It takes a while for our library to get current American
newspapers out into the stacks for students to read, so I've thorougly
enjoyed the animated discussion about this subject here on museum-l.

Thanks for any info that can be passed along.
