The Preparators Department at the Museum of Victoria (Melbourne,
Australia) have asked me to forward the following message to MUSEUM-L.
* Do you have a Preparator's Department in your museum?
* If so - over time have staffing levels increased, decreased, etc?
* Where do preparators fit within your organisation structure
* If staffing levels have changed, how has this affected quality of
output, costs, time, use of external contractors etc.
To which I would add, if you don't have a Preparator's Dept, how do you
prepare animal specimens etc for exhibitions??
I will pass on any responses to our loyal Preps. (or they'll probably
skin me alive!). They are very eager to establish contact with their peers.
Tim
