In trying to find and read the article on Historical Exhibits that several
have mentioned, I came across Thomas Hine's article, Notable
Quotables: Why Images Become Icons (February 18, 1996). Interesting piece
about how popular culture (advertising) has appropriate images and in the
using made them cultural icons.
