Dear Neila,
There is a special group for curators of open-air museums, affiliated
to ICOM: The Association of European Open-Air Museums. They
may have a complete listing. The chairman is Mr. Christopher
Zeuner, Director, The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum,
Singleton, Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom, PO18 0EU.
A good introduction to the history of open-air museums is the
chapter on Arthur Hazelius and Skansen in Edward P. Alexander's
_Museum Masters_. This has a bibliography (which is now
15 years out of date). I will try and find some more recent
ones for you.
