I would try the Ontario Science Centre even if the subject does not
interest you. They are very good at communicating complex ideas
at many levels in their exhibits. A very large site with
many education initiatives.
The innovative museums are in Montreal eg archaeology and Quebec City eg
the Museum of Civilization (yes there are two of them and do not ask).
