As a follow-up to my prior note about the "backlash" about Maritime WWW
sites - I was talking about the 3 or 4 notes I saw written here last week
commenting that the Mystic Seaport WWW site was "too this, not enough that"
etc. I thought it was very professional, and am very glad it is operational
to the public over the Web. For the same reasons, The Mariners' Museum in
Newport News, VA placed it's information up on the WWW, in an attempt to
disseminate additional information about the Museum, services, programs,
collection and surroundings - all for the public to enjoy, for free, over
the WWW.
I wish that those people with complaints about Non-Profit organization web
sites would just quit visiting, and therefore stop complaining, so the other
20 million people enjoying the Web can continue to do so -with all the
quirks and faults still there for now.
